Cable Huston’s attorneys act as general and special counsel for local governments (counties, cities, and special purpose districts).  We provide advice on property issues (including negotiation, acquisition, and condemnation), insurance coverage and defense, public contracting, public meetings, public records, finance, system development charges, utility ratemaking, design and construction litigation, telecommunications, environmental and natural resources, energy, government ethics for public officials, franchise fees and privilege taxes, and other matters associated with conducting government affairs.

We negotiate joint project agreements between government agencies for specific projects, such as above-ground transmission facilities, dams, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, electric generation facilities, wind projects, telecommunications systems and water, wastewater, and electricity distribution through pipelines.
