Jon Monson Co-Authors Oregon BarBook Chapter on Arbitrator Ethics

Cable Huston partner Jon W. Monson recently co-authored a new chapter on Arbitrator Ethics for a new edition of the Alternate Dispute Resolution BarBook published by the Oregon State Bar.  The new chapter on Arbitrator Ethics provides a comprehensive overview of the ethics rules and guidance governing arbitrators as well as common ethics issues facing arbitrators in Oregon. 

Jon was selected by the Bar to publish this new chapter due to his unique experience in legal ethics and alternate dispute resolution (both as a lawyer and as an arbitrator).  He serves as an arbitrator for the Multnomah County Mandatory Arbitration Program and as a pro tem judge for Multnomah County Circuit Court.  Jon is also a longstanding member of the Oregon State Bar’s Legal Ethics Committee (currently as Secretary), which is the body formally tasked with developing and publishing formal ethics opinions for Oregon lawyers.  In addition, Jon has significant practice experience in all forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
