Jon Monson Appointed to Oregon State Bar Legal Ethics Committee

The Oregon State Bar Board of Governors has appointed Cable Huston partner Jon Monson to the Oregon State Bar’s Legal Ethics Committee. The Legal Ethics Committee consists of 12 members and is charged with investigating ethics issues, drafting formal and informal ethics opinions, and recommending changes to the Oregon Rules of Professional Conduct. Mr. Monson will serve a three-year term on the Committee.

Jon is a partner in Cable Huston’s litigation, appellate, and sports and entertainment practice groups. Jon has extensive experience in all aspects of state and federal civil litigation, including trials (jury and non-jury), appeals, mediations, and arbitrations. His practice includes complex commercial disputes, sports- and media-related litigation, professional liability, business torts, securities, white-collar, construction defect, and insurance defense, among others.

Jon is also a member of Cable Huston’s Management Committee and serves as the Firm’s designated in-house Ethics Counsel. He has been identified as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers magazine for the past three years, an honor limited to no more than 2.5% of Oregon lawyers.
