Professional ExperienceDavid McAdams’ work regularly includes helping clients minimize their exposure to estate, gift, generation-skipping, and fiduciary income taxes for estates of all sizes. He also assists clients with the development and documentation of comprehensive estate plans, including the preparation of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate-related documentation. Mr. McAdams is often involved in the organization of corporations, general and limited partnerships, and limited liability companies for general business as well as estate planning purposes. In real estate matters, he assists clients with purchase and sale transactions, like-kind exchanges, leasing, and financing. Mr. McAdams also works with clients on tax planning for all types of general business transactions related to corporations, general and limited partnerships, limited liability companies, sole proprietorships, and real property. He has represented taxpayers at all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service and Oregon Department of Revenue.
Previous ExperienceBefore joining the firm, Mr. McAdams was an associate at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt from 1975 to 1980 and a visiting assistant professor in the Master of Tax program at Portland State University from 1980 to 1982. Between 1980 and 1990, he was of counsel with the law firm of Hill Huston Ferris & Walker.
